  1. Well just because it maybe malfunctioned when she was playing it, doesn’t mean it was malfunctioning before

  2. The casino should pay her. There was no contract that she signed agreeing that she was playing "at her own risk". Casinos make money at THEIR own risk. Q.E.E.

  10. she must be paid, how much is the question. neither side denies the fact that she hit the jackpot. I have never heard of a prize dinner.

  11. it's not her fault she won it was the casinos fault when someone is gambling so is the casino so if it was a "mistake" or the machine was broke it is not her fault it is the casinos therefore they should be forced to pay up what they owe that women for their own mistake by not putting the out of order sign or any indication that it was broken before she won the prize

  13. The law in the state of New York say this, any prize of any amount, won by any person, as the result of a malfunction in any slot machine will result in the void of that prize, Casino Control Commission rule 1, article 2, the chances of her getting that money is zero.

  14. There's a lesson to be learned here. Whether you play the slots or sue the casino, the odds always favor the house.

  16. No she shouldn't get $43 million. Unless that was the top jackpot for that machine. Otherwise it was obvious error.

  17. Even if it was a malfunction, they should have put an "Out of Order" sign on it. they get SOOOO much money owning a casino. if they dont have enough money to pay her.. they should give her as much as they CAN.

  21. The Casino brought this upon themselves. If they tried harder than a steak dinner this lawsuit wouldn't even exist. This offer was an insult and they reap what they sowed. I say sue these crooks because that's what they are.

  24. HAha. All machines say that pays can be negated at any time. No pay is actually guaranteed due to the warnings on them.

  27. Obviously they can't pay her 42 million dollars. They can't afford to pay someone that much money. However, she still won. They can't say she didn't, it's right there. The glitch was that it showed too much money but she still won the jackpot. So they should have just given her the biggest prize available from that machine. It's only fair. And since they didn't offer that to her she should have just sued them for that much. She's crazy if she thinks she's going to get 42 million now. At this point she'll probably get nothing. She should have settled. She was aiming too high.

  28. Seriously? "Catch me outside" again?? This story didn't even have anything to do with that. Do you think it's a funny meme? It's not. It's just sad.

  30. They should totally pay. It's their responsibility as it's their machine. They are done.

  31. Depends what the max prize of winning is. If that was the actual prize money you could win by the rules of the machine, then she deserves them.

  34. The casino should pay her. And IF the machine was broken, then why wasn't there and OUT OF ORDER tag across it. You can't tell me theyDidn't have the time to put one one.

  35. … casino is in the wrong definitly but they will definitely go with the "she cant sue since their was no damages and she has to prove damages so they can pay accordingly." she wont get 43 million but they will try to make sure that what they given her was fair for damages compensation but she is right about what claims as malfuction and zero winnable. at most the casino doesnt have the money and didnt think nobody could win. they must have made sure the chances were extremely small and forgot to update it so a win could be possible and risk a small loss. alot of casinos rig the machines to win when they can so nobody wins over the limit or what they can afford to lose. they dont risk a million dollar industry to just chance, no the control all the variables.

  36. No, this isn't the biggest letdown. Does anyone have those dreams where you win the lottery or are given something that's worth a ton of money? You think it's real and it goes awesome, then you wake up, and then the realization just makes you wanna die…just me? Ok
